VULNERABLE. This beautiful but tiny bird (it's only 10cm long) is endemic to the Philippines and is found only in Mindoro.

Its small population is rapidly declining.  It has been classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Red List of Threatened Species due to habitat loss.

On top of that, there isn't a lot of research about them, so it becomes even harder to save them without the proper funds and support.

Eruption of Volcano Taal has made conditions worse for this beautiful bird.
